Aluminium 6061 pipes and tubes are hollow cylindrical structures created from aluminium alloy 6061, known for its superior mechanical properties and many applications. Comprised primarily of aluminium, magnesium, and silicon components - offering strength, corrosion resistance, weldability as well as weldability - this alloy offers outstanding mechanical properties with highly versatile applications.
Aluminum 6061 pipes and tubes find wide application across industries due to their exceptional properties. Automotive applications for these pipes and tubes include manufacturing radiator tubes, air conditioning systems and hydraulic systems due to their lightweight nature and corrosion-resistance, increasing fuel efficiency as well as increasing longevity of parts manufactured using them.
Aluminium 6061 tubes have become widespread within aerospace structures due to their strength-to-density ratio. They contribute to weight reduction while improving fuel economy and performance. Their resistance to fatigue and ability to withstand extreme temperatures make them suitable for critical aerospace applications.
Aluminium 6061 pipes have long been utilized by marine industries for building boat masts and other marine structures due to their corrosion-resistance in saltwater environments as well as their light weight properties, which allow faster construction times.
Additionally, these pipes and tubes have become staples in construction for scaffolding, handrails, architectural structures, as they offer durability, ease of fabrication, aesthetic appeal, lightweight yet sturdy qualities and aesthetic benefits. Their applications also extend into bicycle frame production as well as sporting equipment production and furniture fabrication, with its lightweight yet sturdy characteristics being particularly advantageous.

Melting and Casting
Steel and alloying metals are loaded into an electric arc furnace. Once in the furnace, the metal is heated to a specific temperature above its melting point, usually in excess of 2800°F.
Rolling and welding
Aluminum Pipes & Tubes may undergo rolling processes to refine their dimensions and improve surface finish. Welding techniques like TIG or MIG welding are utilized for this process
Cleaning and heating phase
These Pipes & Tubes are subjected to cleaning to remove the dirt. Further, a heat treatment is given to these rolled pipes and tubes to remove the stresses that may occur due to welding and formation processes.
Cold - drawing process
The Pipes & Tubes are coated with oxalic and soap solution. In the cold drawing process, the tube or pipe is drawn over the bench using Die plugs.
Finishing process
The stainless tubes or pipes thus produced will undergo certain testing and quality checks. This process is followed by proper packing and dispatch.
