Aluminium 6061 sheets are an aluminum alloy widely renowned for its versatile, durability, and outstanding mechanical properties. Composed mostly of aluminum magnesium silicon alloy and copper components, providing strength as well as corrosion resistance making this alloy suitable for applications across many industries.
Aluminium 6061 sheets stand out due to their impressive strength-to-weight ratio, which makes them suitable for applications where lightweight yet high structural integrity materials are essential, such as aerospace components, marine structures or automotive parts manufacturing processes. Their high tensile strength and excellent machinability further expand its utility during manufacturing processes.
Aluminium 6061 sheets have an outstanding corrosion resistance in environments exposed to moisture or chemicals, such as outdoor architectural applications, signage installations or transportation vehicles. Their resistance makes these sheets suitable for outdoor uses including architectural features, signage systems or transportation vehicles.
Aluminium 6061 sheets are highly weldable and formable, enabling effortless fabrication into various shapes and configurations. Their flexibility lends themselves well to industries like construction where this alloy is often utilized in creating structural components, framing systems, roofing materials, among many others.
Aluminium 6061 sheets stand out thanks to their excellent thermal conductivity, making them suitable for heat sinks, electronic enclosures and thermal management systems where maintaining optimal operating temperatures is of vital importance.

Melting and Casting
Steel and alloying metals are loaded into an electric arc furnace. Once in the furnace, the metal is heated to a specific temperature above its melting point, usually in excess of 2800°F.
Forming
Most cast steel is formed by hot rolling—the slab, bloom, or billet is heated and passed through large rollers, stretching out the steel into a longer, thinner form.
Heat Treatment
Heat treatment strengthens rolled steel by recrystallizing the deformed microstructure. Most steel is heat treated by annealing.
Cutting or Machining
Steel is cut to a specified shape and size. The steel can be sheared with circular knives, sawed with high-speed blades, or blanked with punches.
Finishing
Steels can be made with a wide variety of surface finishes. The chosen surface finish is not purely aesthetic. The type of finish is determined by the intended application.
