Aluminium 5086 sheets are an extremely strong and corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy known for its versatility and exceptional strength. Composed primarily of aluminum with small amounts of magnesium and manganese present, 5086 sheets offer unique properties suitable for many different industries and applications.
Aluminium 5086 sheets stand out for their impressive corrosion resistance in marine environments, making them the ideal material for applications such as boat hulls and decks exposed to saltwater and extreme weather. Furthermore, its resistance against seawater corrosion ensures longevity and durability within maritime settings.
Aluminium 5086 sheets have exceptional corrosion resistance as well as weldability and formability, making them highly flexible for fabrication processes like welding, bending and shaping into desired forms without compromising structural integrity. Because of this adaptability they find widespread usage across various industries including automotive, aerospace and architectural sectors.
Aluminium 5086 sheets boast an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, making them lightweight yet robust and ideal for applications where weight reduction is critical, such as transportation vehicles, aerospace structures and lightweight constructions. However, their light nature does not compromise performance - these sheets boast exceptional strength and durability to deliver reliable performance even under demanding environments.
Aluminium 5086 sheets stand out thanks to their thermal conductivity, providing effective heat dissipation. This property makes aluminium 5086 sheets especially valuable in heat transfer applications such as heat exchangers, cooling systems and heat sinks where maintaining optimal temperatures for equipment performance and longevity is of crucial importance.
Aluminium 5086 sheets are highly machinable, providing smooth machining and finishing processes and making intricate components with tight tolerances easier than ever to produce for multiple industrial uses.

Melting and Casting
Steel and alloying metals are loaded into an electric arc furnace. Once in the furnace, the metal is heated to a specific temperature above its melting point, usually in excess of 2800°F.
Forming
Most cast steel is formed by hot rolling—the slab, bloom, or billet is heated and passed through large rollers, stretching out the steel into a longer, thinner form.
Heat Treatment
Heat treatment strengthens rolled steel by recrystallizing the deformed microstructure. Most steel is heat treated by annealing.
Cutting or Machining
Steel is cut to a specified shape and size. The steel can be sheared with circular knives, sawed with high-speed blades, or blanked with punches.
Finishing
Steels can be made with a wide variety of surface finishes. The chosen surface finish is not purely aesthetic. The type of finish is determined by the intended application.
