What Are Brass Sheets, Plates & Coils?
Brass sheets, plates & coils are versatile materials used in multiple industries. Comprised primarily of copper and zinc alloys for maximum corrosion resistance and durability, brass products have many applications across construction, automotive & electrical sectors as they come in various thickness & size options to meet specific project needs.
Brass sheets, plates and coils are widely respected for their outstanding machinability; easily shaping, cutting and drilling without excessive tool wear is possible making these materials ideal for precision engineering applications that demand intricate designs or tight tolerances.
Brass sheets, plates, and coils outstanding corrosion resistance makes them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, including marine and industrial settings. Brass sheets, plates and coils display resistance against tarnishing and rusting to provide longevity and durability in various settings such as marine applications or industrial facilities.
Brass sheets, plates, and coils exhibit superior weldability that allows them to be joined quickly using various welding techniques such as soldering, brazing or arc welding. This property facilitates complex structure fabrication while expanding their application within construction and manufacturing.
Brass sheets, plates and coils find widespread application across numerous industries - automotive, electrical, plumbing and decorative arts among them - including automobile production parts production as well as electrical connectors and architectural elements among others.
Brass sheets, plates, and coils find widespread application in architectural applications such as decorative panels, ornamental fixtures, door hardware due to their aesthetic appeal and corrosion resistance. Furthermore, in electrical applications, they serve as reliable conducting components in switches, connectors, and terminals to provide reliable performance and conductivity. Additionally, brass sheets and plates can also be found used as heat exchangers, radiators, and HVAC system manufacturing due to thermal conductivity as well as corrosion resistance.

Melting and Casting
Steel and alloying metals are loaded into an electric arc furnace. Once in the furnace, the metal is heated to a specific temperature above its melting point, usually in excess of 2800°F.
Forming
Most cast steel is formed by hot rolling—the slab, bloom, or billet is heated and passed through large rollers, stretching out the steel into a longer, thinner form.
Heat Treatment
Heat treatment strengthens rolled steel by recrystallizing the deformed microstructure. Most steel is heat treated by annealing.
Cutting or Machining
Steel is cut to a specified shape and size. The steel can be sheared with circular knives, sawed with high-speed blades, or blanked with punches.
Finishing
Steels can be made with a wide variety of surface finishes. The chosen surface finish is not purely aesthetic. The type of finish is determined by the intended application.
