Aluminium 1100 sheets are an aluminum alloy distinguished by exceptional corrosion resistance, high ductility and thermal conductivity. Composed primarily of pure aluminum (over 99.99% purity) mixed with small amounts of other elements like copper, iron, silicon manganese zinc - Aluminium 1100 has many applications across different industries and sectors.
Aluminium 1100 sheets stand out among other architectural materials due to their corrosion-resistance, making them suitable for environments exposed to moisture or chemicals, such as marine applications, chemical processing plants or architectural structures located along coastal areas. Their atmospheric corrosion-proof nature also makes them suitable for exterior signage such as roof tiles or signage systems that remain outdoors over time.
Aluminium 1100 sheets have another great advantage in their high ductility, which allows for simple shaping, machining and welding processes. This property makes them popular across multiple industries such as automotive engineering, aerospace technology and electrical engineering where intricate shapes or designs may be necessary. Aluminium can even be formed into panels for casings or enclosures to make lightweight yet long-lasting end products.
Aluminium 1100 sheets boast excellent thermal conductivity, making them the go-to material for heat exchangers, evaporators and other thermal applications. Their ability to efficiently transfer heat makes aluminium sheets an indispensable choice in HVAC systems, refrigeration units and automotive radiators, where temperature management is critical.
Aluminium 1100 sheets exhibit excellent electrical conductivity, making them suitable for electrical conductors, bus bars and transformer windings. Their lightweight nature and corrosion resistance enhance their suitability for applications where longevity and reliability are crucial.
Aluminium 1100 sheets have become widely utilized in the transportation sector for use in building lightweight structures for automobiles, trains and aircraft. Their low density contributes to fuel efficiency by decreasing overall vehicle weight without compromising strength or durability, and their corrosion-resistance ensures long life even under harsh environmental conditions.

Melting and Casting
Steel and alloying metals are loaded into an electric arc furnace. Once in the furnace, the metal is heated to a specific temperature above its melting point, usually in excess of 2800°F.
Forming
Most cast steel is formed by hot rolling—the slab, bloom, or billet is heated and passed through large rollers, stretching out the steel into a longer, thinner form.
Heat Treatment
Heat treatment strengthens rolled steel by recrystallizing the deformed microstructure. Most steel is heat treated by annealing.
Cutting or Machining
Steel is cut to a specified shape and size. The steel can be sheared with circular knives, sawed with high-speed blades, or blanked with punches.
Finishing
Steels can be made with a wide variety of surface finishes. The chosen surface finish is not purely aesthetic. The type of finish is determined by the intended application.
